More From The Gobelins Students: “Burning Safari” Site Up

You might remember my earlier posts about the shorts produced by the students from Les Gobelins media school in Paris for the Annecy International Animation Festival.

Another one of the teams has now put up a website for their “Burning Safari” short.

A trawl round the site is very rewarding. The student team who made the film generated huge amounts of pre-production material that they are happy to share with you.

The film was designed and co-ordinated by six students, each with their own agenda and specialism, and for me at least, the true measure of their achievement lies in the way they managed to weld their work together into a tight look and feel that seems to have only one author.

Superb.

As a background / environment / scenic designer, I have a fondness for what is going on behind the busy action in this film, so I leave you with a couple of background details:
