I used to be shy about my ignorance, and often I was embarrassed by it.
Nowadays I cherish my ignorance. I look upon it as an asset in life.
It enables me to look in wonder at this picture that I have never seen before, and be truly surprised and delighted by the discovery.
Because I’ve never heard of von Menzel, I can think: “Wow!” when I see this picture, rather than: “Oh yeah; Him.”

That’s a good find indeed and I love the way you put it.
Although to be perfectly honnest, one must admit to an equally satisfying feeling of superiority at being knowledgable about obscure treasures… that usually follows quickly the original ‘Wow’ moment.
